Whale Ho

If it wasn't 114 degrees in the shade, you would think you had spotted a Beluga, hauled up on an ice floe. No, it's just Uncle Al baking his blubber in the desert sun. Shelly declined the opportunity to have her relaxation pose published on the Internet so her right to ridicule me is forfeited but the rest of you (Erin) feel free. Solstice here means it is going to be damn hot for at least a couple of months and this is how we will be passing the time. We still have to get some floaties with cup holders so we don't have to paddle to shore for sips on our frosty beverages. Other than that, we are set.

On It!

Ok, so I am finally up and running. Thanks to those who helped and sorry for being a pain in the rear.

I am going to start my blogging career with a shameless plug for my website - Epic Seats
I have been optimizing my site and the one thing that keeps coming up is that I should start a blog and mention all of the tickets we sell in it. So if any of you need Seattle Seahawks tickets, Seattle Mariners tickets, Chicago Cubs tickets, Boston Red Sox tickets, Washington Nationals tickets, Miami Dolphins tickets, San Fran 49ers tickets etc. you know who to talk to ;)
We have been working a lot on our website and it's traffic is definitely improving. We have more work to do as always, but there should be some exciting stuff in store. We hired a UW website intern for the summer and he is doing some great work.

So, I can't think of too much that is going on that you all don' t already know about. Of course between running Epic, planning a wedding, starting a vacation rental biz with Aimee and keeping a busy social calendar I don't seem to have enough stuff going on.

Here are some pictures that you may or may not have seen - Thailand before a scuba dive, Hong Kong Stadium for that Rugby tournament and a Burger as big as Ben's head.

Hello again,

This last weekend was an eventful one for us. Jake and I were in charge of my family's reuinion this year, so we decided to have a Hawaiian family come and do a luau for us all. It was very cool, and made us want to go to Hawaii even more. Jaxon and Jacob learned a Hawaiian Warrior Dance, and the girls learned the Huki-lau. Lileigh didn't want to stop dancing after that, and we could hardly keep her off the stage. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures. I also added some of the Amy's twins so you can see howmuch they are growing! (trey is on the left, and cord is on the left)

Hello family!

sorry I haven't posted anything yet.
but here we go.

I've been a nanny for Sydney, an autistic 3 year old girl, since January 25th (which happens to be her birthday!)
I love it so much! She is growing so much! There are so many changes in her speech and awarness!
She's wonderful!
I've been taking a break from school since winter quarter. But I feel ready to go back. I was hoping to take online classes at Highline in the summer, but I've been on the waitlist for a few weeks, and it doesn't look like I'm going to make it. Unless by some luck they let me into the class.
I'm still hopeful!
But I'm registered and ready to go for the fall!
I'm planning on taking one morning class (Childhood Education) and two night classes (Philosophy and Speech).
I'm very excited to go back to school!

And for those of you who don't know, I'm going to Hawaii in Septmeber!
My very good friend, Rene's boyfriends brother is getting married in Maui!
She was invited and she could invite a friend, so she chose me!!!
We are going to do as much as we can in a week!
It'll be a blast!

Recently, I've been working out more an trying to eat better.
I can see some results and I'm starting to feel better!

well. I guess that's all I can think of.
Love you all!

Snowline @ Baker

I went to James & Ames' cabin by Mt. Baker for a wonderful weekend. Their place is really great, more luxury than cabin. Most of the hikes in the area were covered with snow, but we went up for several miles on this service road and finally got the view we had been hoping for. The day was perfect, the dogs had a great time of it, though they were pooped out towards the end and needed to be carried. Jelly Bean is a boulder, she weighs 33 pounds! You pick her up and she almost knocks you over she is such a dense mass of muscle. Gordy was picking up all the scents of the wild along with Esme. Bron Aimee's mom and Jay, her boyfriend stayed as well. Fresh bear scat, the remnants of a slaughtered deer and a patch of snow (heaven for Esme) were highlights of the hike. Mom.

Shelly and Al's visit

It was so good to see Shelly and Alan. It was a quick visit, but it was nice - minus the icecream tantrum. Anyway, here are some cute pictures from the Children's Museum.

The Visit

I was pretty lame about taking pictures. I kept leaving my camera in Rikki's car. So Rikki, it will be up to you to post some pics from the Children's Museum and also if you could send me some as well. We had a blast visiting with everyone. The kids sure are cute!

Salt Lake City

I'm here! Waiting for Rikki, Jaxon, and Lileigh to pick me up and we are going out to play. We came down because Alan is playing golf at his company's tournament. We will meet up later with Alan and Jacob for dinner. I will take some pics to post later. This is a bonus being here today and being able to see them!

More from Jake and Rikki

We have had a few more exciting things happen this summer. For mother's day, I decided that for my present I wanted to buy a trampoline. The kids have loved it and I have to admit Jake and I have jumped on it quite a bit. Also, my brother Mike, decided to adopt two lab puppies. One is black and is actually a mix of a Sharpei and a black Lab. The other is a white and golden, and is a pure bread lab. My mom and dad, however, would only let him have one at their house, so he asked me to take the other one, until he moves out. So, now we have a cute little lab puppy that is about 11 weeks old names Kali ( Kahl-I), Mike named him, it is a Hawaiian name. He is really cute, and has been a good dog, and is almost potty trained. He is very different than Chase in a lot of ways. When we took him to the vet on 5/27 he weighed 11.5 lbs, and on 6/2/08 he weighed 12.3 lbs, so he is going to be bigger than Chase very soon. Also, the last thing I will share, and I think it will catch you all up on our Summer so far ,is that Lileigh was able to wear her first pony tail!

Pictures of our St. George quick trip

Pictures of Jaxon's performance

We have had a lot happening!

Hello Family,

We have had a lot happening lately and finally we have time to share some pictures of it all. Keep in mind that while I am writing this and adding pictures Lileigh is pretending to be her pediatrician and is checking my ears and eyes, so this is going to take me a while. Jaxon had an end of the year performance with Page's preschool with his fellow classmates. Jaxon did a great job. Right after Jaxon's performance the kids and I, along with Mike, my mom, and Cami, drove to St. George to to a wedding. We drove back the next day, so it was very quick. It was worth it though because of the Pent House we got to stay in, the pool, and the hot tub out on the deck. So, this is just the beginning.
